The Leaside Hockey Association select program is set to kick off for the '09-'10 season beginning the week of Sept. 14^th  with a series of "open skates" for all LHA House League registrants. Details on the location and timing for each age group are posted on the Leaside web-site. Also on the site will be team contacts for each age group and the full season practice schedule when finalized.

All LHA House League registrants are welcome and encouraged to attend the open skates. They represent an opportunity for all players to get their skates back on and prepare for the House League and select season. Depending on the team there may be a per player charge in the $10-15 range for each skate. Select teams will be chosen in late September/early October. Timing varies by team, but the skates listed on the pre-season schedule are open to all (by age group). The first tryouts will start the weekend of September 25^th.

In addition to this e-mail you should receive some communication from the coach or manager of the select team for your particular age group with more specific details at the open skates on that teams program for the season.

The select teams are not set for this year. We will ice two teams at Minor Novice (2002 birth year) and at the Novice (2001 birth year). Every other age group will have one team.

If you have team specific questions please direct them to the select coaches or managers as per the contact list on the site.

At this time, we have 1 open coaching position at the Minor Novice Gold (2002 birth year). We will fill these roles through the try-out process. Parents of these age groups should contact me if there is interest in supporting these teams in a coaching or managerial capacity.
