Awarded annually, the Jeff Munn Volunteer of the Year Award recognizes an LHA member who has made an outstanding volunteer contribution to the Association.

Since 2011, Kevin Cluett has been a constant and significant contributor to the LHA. As the father of two sons, Kevin has coached at all levels and in almost all roles. For the last seven years, Kevin has coached both of his son’s teams, planning the season, participating in practices, and coaching games. Along the way, Kevin also joined the LHA Board of Directors as head of the Select program and he played a key role in both revising our house league and hockey school program as well as creating the CDS program. This year Kevin also received a long-time coaching award for his work with the U18A team. Of the many nominations Kevin received, this comment stood out:

“He loves our community, he loves hockey, and more than all of that – he has valued the opportunity to get to know the children, to spend time with them, to teach them, inspire them, laugh with them and be a part of their hockey and life experience. He has provided the kids with a fun environment, while also ensuring that they develop as players and people. He has approached his roles with strong character, vision, integrity, passion, commitment, humor, and genuine caring.”

Thank you, Kevin, for all you have given to our community and all your many contributions to the LHA, and congratulations.
